Aims and Scope

The University of Thi-Qar Journal (UTJ) is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal issued by the Department of Scientific Affairs at the University of Thi-Qar. Devoted to the advancement of scholarly research across the scientific disciplines, the Journal publishes original work that meets rigorous standards of significance, originality, and scientific excellence.
UTJ welcomes manuscripts spanning the full range of scientific specializations and their intersections — including the basic and applied sciences, engineering and technology, medicine and the health sciences, and management, administration, and economics — as well as interdisciplinary studies that bridge these fields. Through this broad scope, the Journal seeks to provide a credible platform that brings together researchers from diverse specializations and supports the exchange of high-quality scientific knowledge.
All submissions undergo a strict, double-anonymized peer-review process designed to ensure originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and clarity, so that only work of the highest quality is accepted for publication. Issued four times a year, the Journal makes all published articles freely available online, in line with its commitment to open access and the wider dissemination of research.
